Services For Fencing Clubs
The traditional way to learn to fencing. Teaching methods vary, you might be on a series of short 6 to 10 week courses for the first few grades at Foil fencing. Subsequently you might receive individual lessons from the coach.
All fencing clubs need a coach to teach the skills, maintain good order and safety standards. Some clubs the coach book the venue, provides and maintains the kit, looks after the finances, etc, etc. Some clubs have a constitution and a management committee, the coach can then concentrate on his core duties of developing the fencers. If finances permit some people prefer one to one tuition from the start. This is a very effective way to learn to fence as you can progress at your own rate at times to suit you. However it’s recommended that you come along to a club too if time permits. Private lessons are also available to pupils who would like to improve their fencing a quicker pace this is possible purely in club setting.
